How are the odds created for the casino games?
Answer:
There are 2 types of odds.
1) Game Odds - Game odds are the result of the game's rules. For example, if you can only double down on certain numbers in blackjack, the game's odds differ than if you could double down on any number. Game odds are not adjustable; they are the mathematical outcome of the rules. All Chartwell games employ standard rules to ensure fair play. The rules are posted in Help files for easy player reference.
2) House Odds - Odds that the house offers. Like "Blackjack pays 3:2", these are adjustable and are regional for the most part (like Atlantic City odds or Las Vegas odds). Slots and Video Poker odds are adjusted by their payout tables or number of reel images. While house odds differ somewhat from casino to casino, Chartwell's games are designed with common payouts, familiar to the majority of players.
